About Me

I have taught English for almost six decades. During my career, I have been newspaper advisor, yearbook advisor, literary magazine advisor, basketball coach, dramatics coach, Teacher of the Year for my school, computer coordinator, creator of a course in Modern African Literature, librarian, debate team advisor and union delegate. I have taught grades 7 - 12. I have taught in public and private high schools. I have taught (P)SAT preparation classes. I have taught summer school classes and even a Saturday class to high school seniors. I love literature --- especially good literature. Hopefully, I have learned from the writers I have studied and taught over the decades.
